Fresh Turkeys are available between 11 – 25 lbs with availability decreasing as sizes run out. The rule of thumb is 1 – 1.5 lbs per person depending on the size of your eaters, if it is your only meat and if you want leftovers. Note: this calculation starts around 12 lbs. Smaller birds don’t have as good a meat-to-bone ratio.
